O Re.Novo Que Estava Precisando: Comunidade Re.Novo é agora Igreja Reformada Re.Novo

DIAS FAMILY ON MISSION IN SPAIN

DEAR FRIEND, BROTHER, AND PARTNER IN THE SPAIN MISSION,

THIS NEWSLETTER CONTAINS AN APPEAL THAT REQUIRES YOUR ATTENTION AND URGENCY!

As you know, my family and I have been fully dedicated to the mission here in Spain for over seven years. We have participated in planting missionary bases, developing evangelism ministries, planting churches, etc.. Thanks to our good God, the advancement of God's kingdom here is evident, and we continue steadfast and constant for the glory of God.

However, in these more than seven years, many of our financial partners no longer support us, and our monthly income has reached such a low level that it no longer covers even our family budget, much less the expenses related to the mission. There is an urgent need for more financial supporters to cover our family budget expenses and also mission expenses.

We are in full swing with our ministry fronts, such as planting a church in Santiago de Compostela, where people have already decided to be baptized in water. Starting in November 2025, we will change our study group meetings from Tuesdays to Sundays due to the demands of the church. We also already have people who have decided to plant another church in another city called A Estrada.

In light of all this, we know that the struggles are increasing, as are the financial demands. That is why we humbly and urgently appeal: WE NEED FINANCIAL SUPPORTERS. We believe and know that it is God who sustains us, but the way He directs us to do so is by gathering friends, brothers, and churches who understand the mission and join us so that the kingdom of God continues to advance and so that we can remain according to the call He has made to us, despite the difficulties.

That is why I invite you, if you, your family, or your church are not yet part of the mission here in Spain, to join us over the next few years, supporting us monthly with offerings so that my family and I can continue to advance the kingdom of God in this nation so in need of the gospel of salvation. The amount we need is only €1,900 per month, of which we are currently short €1,200 per month. Our contacts are available for more information about our family and the mission.

"May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." 2 Cor. 13:14.

The Dias Family - Mission Spain.

PIEB Pindamonhangaba (Primeira Igreja Evangélica Batista de Pindamonhangaba)

The congregation in 1946 (artificially coloured)

In 1937, Francisco Ferreira da Rocha, a member of the Baptist church of Liberdade in São Paulo city, rented a house in the town of Pindamonhangaba at 6, Frederico Machado st. (downtown) and he started using the living room for the first meetings of the baptist congregation there. The group was formalised on April 4, 1937 and it was managed by the Baptist church of Liberdade which would send preachers and its senior pastor Erodice Fontes de Queiroz to Pindamonhangaba once a month. This distant management happened until 1939.

On November 28, 1937, the congregation moved to 96, Travessa Marquês do Herval (downtown), a lot of land donated by Colonel Antonio Ernesto da Silva who was its first pastor (as of 2025 the church is still at the address).

On May 26, 1939, the Baptist Church in Pindamonhangaba was formalised, with its first baptisms by immersion performed in 1938 in Ribeirão Água Preta. Maria Leontina Juliano Cundari, an example of perseverance and faith, was one of the founding members.

In 1946, the congregation built and inaugurated its first temple, designed according to the architectural characteristic of a Baptist church of the 1940s. Over the years, increments, expansions and renovations were made to the temple, including the purchase of neighboring properties. The temple was then demolished in the 1990s, making way for a newer structure, but remaining at the same address.
