Paras Zahid: Following The Words Of James 1:27 In Lahore, Pakistan

What I am posting below is the work of Paras Zahid, a missionary friend who lives in Lahore, Pakistan and has followed God's call taking care of the widows:

HEAVEN ON EARTH
"GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD."
МАТTHEW 6:11

THE REALITY ON THE GROUND

In Pakistan, when a woman becomes a widow, her world collapses overnight. When she is a Christian widow with children, that collapse is deeper, darker, and lonelier. Her husband was not just her partner; he was her protection, her income, and her shield against a harsh society.

When he dies, she does not only lose a loved one—she loses safety, stability, and respect. Many Christian widows are left standing with small children in one hand and unpaid rent in the other, asking themselves a painful question: How will I survive tomorrow? Every morning, many Christian widows walk to private houses, corporate offices, and Muslim homes to cook, clean, and wash. Because of religious discrimination and social pressure, these women are rarely given equal work opportunities. Even when they find jobs, they are often offered the lowest and most humiliating labor: cleaning houses, washing toilets, collecting garbage, or working in dangerous brick kilns.

They are paid less than others, treated with disrespect, and often verbally abused. Traveling alone to work is unsafe, and speaking up can cost them their jobs. Silence becomes their survival strategy. Yet, they continue—because a mother will starve herself before letting her child go hungry.

Jesus knew this pain. That is why He spoke directly about the hungry, the poor, and the widows. He did not turn His face away from suffering; He stepped into it.

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food... Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me." — Matthew 25:35, 40

HEAVEN ON EARTH

Heaven on Earth is a mission to provide monthly food support to Christian widows and their children—not as a one-time gift, but as consistent, life-sustaining help.

When a widow receives a food package, she does not only receive rice and flour. She receives relief. She receives honor. She receives a message: You are not forgotten. You are loved by your Heavenly Father. Each monthly food package is carefully prepared according to real Pakistani household needs. It includes:

  • Wheat flour for daily bread

  • Rice for filling meals

  • Cooking oil, lentils, and beans for protein

  • Eggs and milk powder for children's nutrition

  • Sugar, tea, dates, salt, and spices

  • Basic hygiene items

These are not luxury items; they are survival essentials. Our mission is simple: to feed hungry families, protect vulnerable mothers, strengthen weak children, and restore the hope of Jesus where life feels impossible.

With just $100 per month, one widow’s family can receive complete food support. This is not just generosity; this is obedience. This is love in action. You can be the answer to their prayers. Please contact paraszahid455@gmail.com if God has touched your heart to help.
